NEW ZONE: THE EMERALD DREAM
Introducing the long-awaited Emerald Dream! Situated west of the Ohn’ahran Plains, this section is finally open for exploration. However, Fyrakk’s chaotic presence threatens this serene landscape as he strives to reach the new World Tree, Amirdrassil.
In its reflection of the untamed world, the Emerald Dream mirrors not only the Ohn’ahran Plains but also Val’sharah, Ardenweald, and Mount Hyjal, encapsulating wild-centric zones. Just as fire threatened Mount Hyjal, here in the Emerald Dream, Fyrakk embodies its antithesis. He has even summoned a Firelands portal and enlisted the aid of the Druids of the Flame to bolster his forces.
NEW MODELS, MOUNTS AND TRANSMOG GEAR
Like any notable zone, the Emerald Dream comes packed with its unique gear and special rewards. These valuable items are attainable through quests, events, renown, discovering treasures, and more.
NEW RAID: AMIRDRASSIL, THE DREAM’S HOPE
The new raid, Amirdrassil: The Dream’s Hope, takes center stage. Planted by Tyrande and Malfurion in the Emerald Dream with the aid of Merithra of the Dream earlier in the expansion, this symbolic tree now stands threatened. Fyrakk, driven by his own motives, presents a formidable challenge across nine boss encounters in this raid.
Amirdrassil, nurtured within the Emerald Dream, is on the verge of blooming and merging with Azeroth. However, its fate hangs in the balance, awaiting the unity of Azeroth’s champions to confront Fyrakk and his molten allies. Their mission: thwart Fyrakk from consuming the heart of Amirdrassil and engulfing the world in flames.
Prepare for battles against Fyrakk’s allies, the Zaqali Djaradin and the Druids of the Flame. The raid promises thrilling dragonriding escapades to reach the tree’s apex, culminating in an epic showdown against Fyrakk himself.

Great Vault Raid Thresholds Reduced in Patch 10.2
In the Dragonflight Patch 10.2, the inclusion of Amirdrassil has altered the Great Vault thresholds. Now, gaining access to raid reward choices necessitates 2, 4, or 7 boss victories, as opposed to the previous 3, 5, or 7 in Aberrus. This adjustment makes it a bit more manageable to secure the initial vault reward.
Certainly! The alteration in raid vault thresholds from 3/5/7 to 2/4/7 is indeed a positive change, addressing the prior discrepancy. The adjustment not only resolves the mathematical issue but also offers players the first Mythic box after defeating 2 Mythic bosses, which is a faster and more rewarding progression.
As for Mythic+ and PvP thresholds, they seem to remain consistent at 1/4/8 dungeons and 1250/2500/5000 Honor, respectively. However, Blizzard Assistant Game Director Morgan Day and Senior Game Designer Patrick Scarborough hinted at potential changes in an interview with MrGM. They discussed plans to broaden the availability of Mythic+ rewards by including Heroic, Timewalking, and Mythic+0 dungeons in the Great Vault, allowing these dungeons to unlock reward slots in a similar manner.
Mythic Dungeons:
Threshold 1: Step 0
Threshold 4: Step 1
Threshold 8: Step 2
PvP:
Threshold 1250: Step 0
Threshold 2500: Step 1
Threshold 5000: Step 2
Raid:
Threshold 2: Step 0
Threshold 4: Step 1
Threshold 7: Step 2

As it’s a formidable 2-handed Strength weapon, only the valiant champions among Paladins, Death Knights, and Warriors will have the honor of wielding its power.

In this latest patch, a fresh faction emerges as the focal point for renown and reputation: the Dream Wardens. Within the expansive embrace of the Emerald Dream, a series of interconnected public events is set to unfold in a harmonious cycle.

Moreover, the Emerald Bounties aren’t just about cultivation; they offer the potential to yield pets, mounts, and a currency facilitating the acquisition of various cosmetic items.

CLASS CHANGES
In the latest buzz from Blizzard, it seems the tides of change are sweeping across the classes. Big plans are in motion, particularly for healers. They’re dialing down the power of widespread healing and reigning in those massive raid-saving cooldowns. They’re also taking a jab at mana regeneration abilities, while giving a boost to those crucial single-target heals. As for the other classes, it’s a mixed bag of adjustments, so it’s worth a peek at the freshest patch notes to catch a glimpse of what’s in store for each class.
CHARACTER CHANGES
Druids are in for a treat with a slew of fresh form customizations, especially exciting for Balance Druids, who’ve been in the same form for what feels like forever. The news doesn’t stop there; Blood Elves are also getting a dash of new hair colors. However, there’s silence on the front of new Heritage Armor for the remaining races who are still awaiting theirs.
Gear Upgrade System
The Gear Upgrade System is receiving some significant quality-of-life improvements, utilizing Crests and Flightstones to enhance gear assigned to Champion, Hero, or Myth tracks, now featuring extended ranks:
The Hero upgrade track has expanded from 5 to 6 ranks.
The Myth upgrade track now spans 4 ranks, up from 3.
Key changes include Crests becoming a separate currency, no longer cluttering up your bags, while Fragments have been entirely removed from inventory. Crests can now be traded up for higher-level ones as you reach the item level of the lower-tier Crests in each gear slot.
Additionally, a tier-based system allows for the exchange of Whelpling Crests to Drake Crests when all gear slots reach an item level of 411 or higher. Similarly, Drake Crests can be exchanged for Wyrm Crests at an item level of 424, and Wyrm Crests for Aspect Crests at 437.
PvP gear can now be upgraded using Flightstones and Crests. Flightstones are a reward from all PvP activities, while Crests are specifically from Rated PvP activities.
To balance progression, the weekly upgrade cap has been lowered to 6 upgrades, with a maximum Crest cap of 90 per week.
